Fall in Washington DC is stunning.
Seriously. There are very few places in the good ol’ US of A that offers such a broad range of landscapes and geography within such a small area. I live with my family in Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland. We love it here. In my opinion, fall is our best season.
In Montgomery County, Butler’s Orchard is something of an institution and no autumn would be complete without a trip to pick out pumpkins.
Another super fun place to visit is South Mountain Creamery in Middletown, Maryland. This place is a real gem. They are a dairy farm that delivers grass fed milk, butter, cheese, and a plethora of other yummy things straight to your door. Their farm is open for visits every day. You can watch the milking, visit, with the baby calves and chicks, and have some ice cream from the farm store! We had a blast.
As I said before, this area is beautiful in the fall. Get out there and explore!
If you’re looking for something to do with the kids this weekend, check out Red Tricycle. Don’t have kids? Check it out anyways! They’ve always got the scoop on what’s going on in the area!
